Software Engineering Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineering Leader to provide technical guidance and leadership to our engineering teams. This role involves overseeing the design, development, testing, deployment, and operation of enterprise-standard applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience deploying maintainable, scalable multi-tiered applications and designing and developing applications using major languages and pipelines/build tools.

They will also have strong analytical skills, the ability to make timely decisions in ambiguous situations, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and operation of enterprise-standard applications
  • Focus on engineering excellence, automation, test coverage, release velocity, and production health
  • Collaborate with peers, business units, and technology decision makers to drive meaningful discussions and delivery
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience leading the design and development of enterprise-standard applications
  • Experience with major languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and pipelines/build tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, AWS CDK, Terraform)
  • Experience with data technologies (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, AWS Athena, Parquet, PyArrow)
  • Experience with unit and functional testing (JUnit, PyUnit, Karate, Playwright, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with automation and pipeline implementation (Testing, CI/CD)
Skills
  • Strong engineering skills with experience deploying maintainable, scalable multi-tiered applications
  • Ability to communicate and influence decision makers and stakeholders
  • Focus on operational excellence and modern agile engineering approaches
