A reputable organization seeks an experienced senior manager to spearhead the growth and development of their fund accounting department. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business objectives, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. They will also contribute to the sales strategy by providing thought leadership on fund accounting matters and identifying new business opportunities.

The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, who can foster a collaborative environment and motivate high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in private equity and a deep understanding of alternative fund structures, regulatory requirements, and fee calculations.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine strategy for the fund accounting department in line with overall unit strategy and business plan.
  • Drive business objectives and goals to meet and achieve the desired target operating model.
  • Ensure controls and utilization of available technology is fit for purpose, scalable, and mitigating business risk.
  • Control the client service narrative by proactively managing emerging risks and owning operational change.
  • Contribute to the sales strategy by acting as a subject matter expert for fund accounting matters.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years' experience in operations with in-depth knowledge of fund accounting, private markets, and hedge.
  • 5+ years senior management/management experience in private equity.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Proven track record in strategic thinking and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of alternative fund structures, fund domiciles, regulatory requirements, and fund fee calculations.
