Job Title: Cost Estimator Specialist for High-Profile Projects

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to work on landmark projects across Ireland as a skilled cost estimator. As a key member of the estimating team, you will be responsible for reviewing incoming tender documentation, briefing relevant team members, and preparing requests for pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.

You will follow up with supply chain partners to ensure timely return of quotations, collaborate with colleagues to raise and respond to clarifications or queries during the tender process, and identify missing information or gaps in the tender through clarification notes and estimator comments.

Additionally, you will assist in developing risk registers and identifying potential value engineering options, analyze returned prices and tenders to assess competitiveness and completeness, and prepare detailed cost reports for internal tender review.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 6 years' experience working in estimating or quantity surveying roles within the construction industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical and analytical abilities.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools and estimating software.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market rates.
  • Proven ability to take responsibility for cost assessments and financial accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
