Job Summary

Safety and Environment Officer - County Meath.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Safety and Environment Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying potential hazards, risks, and environmental impacts in the workplace and implementing control measures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular safety inspections, environmental assessments & audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training to employees, contractors, and visitors on health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and quality issues, and develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor workplace conditions to prevent occupational health issues and promote employee well-being.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Science.
  • Proven experience as an EHS Officer or in a similar role, preferably in a high-risk industry.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify hazards, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train employees and collaborate across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and documentation skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
