  • We are seeking a skilled Fire Systems Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A comprehensive knowledge of standards relevant to the fire industry.
  • Experience in standard and complex fire suppression systems.
  • The ability to manage large projects from design through to completion.
  • Proven experience of commissioning large projects with complex strategies.
  • Extensive knowledge of conventional and analogue fire alarm systems.
  • Experience working with major fire alarm brands including air sampling systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A full clean driving licence is essential.
  • An electrical background is a distinct advantage.

Job Description:

As a Fire Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing and maintaining fire detection, alarm and suppression systems, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers.

  • Commissioning fire detection, alarm and suppression systems to agreed customer specifications. Servicing and maintaining fire detection, fire suppression systems, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers in accordance with agreed service and maintenance contracts.
  • Providing regular reports on activities to enable management plan strategic and operational direction for the fire systems team.
  • Ensuring correct use of PDA and closing jobs with any other information required to enable work to be invoiced to customers promptly and job certification.
  • Accounting for and maintaining all company property, vehicles, stock, test equipment and tools in good working order.
  • Supporting the sales team by specifying customer needs through provision of expert advice during on-site inspections.
  • Responding to customer queries and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
  • Responding to emergency activations and other attendances advised through service desk and pageboy services.
  • Attending product training when necessary and attaining comprehensive knowledge of all company products.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, science).
  • Relevant industry certifications and qualifications.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in fire safety engineering, preferably with a focus on fire alarm systems.
