Job Description

 

The Accounting Team is looking for a Payroll Specialist to contribute to international payroll operations.

 

  • Maintain, review, and reconcile payroll data for international entities using Workday, ActivPayroll and BDO.
  • Audit payroll data and ensure compliance with country-specific tax and social security regulations.
  • Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions, ensuring alignment with accounting standards.
  • Partner with the Accounting and Finance teams to provide insights on payroll-related variances and trends.
  • Support local statutory audits and internal audits, as well as audits related to pensions, social contributions, and other regional obligations.
  • Oversee timely and accurate submission of payroll-related tax filings and reports as required in each jurisdiction.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive payroll operational process documentation.
  • Deliver regular and ad-hoc payroll reports to internal teams including Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Equity, tailored to international reporting requirements.

 

Requirements
  • 3+ years of full-cycle, multi-country payroll processing experience.
  • Experience building relationships and communicating with stakeholders across all levels and functions.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries in partnership with third-party vendors and internal systems.
  • Strong knowledge of international statutory payroll requirements, tax laws, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy by auditing data inputs such as time tracking, leave of absence, benefits, and variable pay.

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing small to medium sized projects.
  • Experience using Netsuite.
  • Additional EMEA languages a plus.
  • Experience at a high growth B2B SaaS company.
  • Previous involvement in payroll transformation or system implementation projects.
  • Understanding of SOX compliance and experience working in a public company environment.
  • Working knowledge of equity compensation and how it affects payroll.
