Senior Project Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our Transport Infrastructure business based in Ireland. This is a hybrid role with offices in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Sligo, and Kilkenny.

  • Prepare designs and reports appropriate to experience level at all project stages.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and management procedures.
  • Motivate oneself, take ownership of issues, and seek team participation for optimal solutions.
  • Willing to learn and develop professionally.
  • Work on projects in a collaborative BIM environment.
  • Understand project objectives.
  • Engage with clients and design teams for project delivery.
Key Requirements
  • Experience in designing transport projects, including roads, rail, and public transport.
  • Experience in active travel and greenway projects.
  • Minimum 6 years' experience across design and construction phases.
  • Knowledge of Irish and UK standards, including NTA and TII.
  • Experience working through various project phases.
  • Client liaison experience.
  • Contract documentation experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and familiarity with BIM environment.
  • Experience with drainage design software like MicroDrainage; familiarity with HEC-RAS, Causeway Flow is a plus.
  • Knowledge of highway drainage, culvert design, and natural catchment analysis.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
Education and Qualifications
  • Level 8 honours degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Level 9 master's degree preferred.
  • Specialist transport qualifications are an advantage.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is preferred.
