Senior Accounting Role Overview

The General Ledger team is responsible for the accuracy and consistency of the company's financial records.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage financial processes to standardize, automate, and handle exceptions
  2. Oversee accounting for multiple entities
  3. Work with auditors, post journal entries, analyze accounts, prepare tax returns, and complete statutory returns
  4. Improve financial processes and systems within General Ledger, including Chart of Accounts, Fixed Assets, Accruals, Prepaids, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, External audit, and Coding
  5. Partner with Business Analysis, Statutory, and other finance teams to ensure accurate monthly/annual reporting

Key responsibilities also include analyzing financial entries, resolving root cause issues, creating and using financial reports through SAP Business Intelligence, training and maintaining the Chart of Accounts, supporting leadership in financial data interpretation, and assisting with other related finance tasks.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of continuous improvement/project management/analysis experience working for a multi-national company
  • Shared Service experience beneficial
  • Accounting qualification required
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to interact effectively with people at all levels
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Access, Power Point, Word)
  • Second European language an advantage
  • Business Intelligence report writing experience beneficial
