We are seeking motivated professionals to join our team as Care Support Workers in residential services. The role involves supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in a community-based setting, focusing on independent living skills and integration into the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain person-centred care plans, promoting individual goals and aspirations.
  • Foster positive relationships with service users, families, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
  • Maintain accurate records of service user interactions, progress, and outcomes, adhering to relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
  • FETAC level 5 in Healthcare or similar qualification.
  • One year's experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Working knowledge of HIQA regulations and experience adhering to National Standard policies.
  • Experience and understanding of person-centred care and planning.
  • Understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
  • Ability to follow plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of individuals supported.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
  • Full driver's license and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
