The Clinical Nurse Manager I is a key role within our organization, providing exceptional care to patients. This position plays a pivotal part in planning, coordinating, and managing resources within the clinical area.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver safe and effective patient care using evidence-based practices.
- Provide professional leadership to point-of-care staff, promoting excellence in care delivery.
- Coordinate, assess, plan, deliver, and review care for all staff in the designated area, ensuring quality outcomes.
- Implement comprehensive nursing care according to established guidelines and protocols.
- Collaborate with patients, families, carers, and other staff to provide holistic care and support.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care through direct involvement and supervision of qualified nurses.
- Regularly evaluate and monitor patient care to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Foster good relationships with patients and carers, promoting trust and confidence.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the multidisciplinary team, promoting teamwork and excellent care.
- Develop and maintain departmental philosophy, objectives, and goals, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies.
- Maintain equipment and ensure all staff are familiar with its use, promoting efficient care delivery.
- Adhere to patient confidentiality standards and escalate any issues to the CNM II.
- Hold registration or eligibility for registration with the General Division of the Nursing Register.
- possess 3 years of experience, preferably in Medical Nursing, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality care.
- Previous management or deputising experience for CNM2 is advantageous, demonstrating expertise in leadership and management.
- Display high-level professional and clinical leadership skills, promoting excellence in care delivery.
- Engage in ongoing continuing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
- Demonstrate knowledge of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and effective people management.
- Have experience in change management and continuous improvement, driving innovation and quality enhancements.
- Possess excellent communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration and communication.
- Knowledge of and experience in clinical audit, promoting quality assurance and improvement.
