Key Responsibilities:
  1. Inventory Management: You will be responsible for ordering, receiving, and stocking food and beverage items, working closely with par stock levels to ensure that products are always available to customers.
  2. Dry Goods Management: You will be responsible for storing and requisitioning dry goods items, working closely with par stock levels to ensure that products are always available to customers.
  3. Delivery Acceptance: You will be responsible for accepting all deliveries, inspecting them for damages, and ensuring adherence to HACCP regulations.
  4. Storage and Rotation: You will be responsible for ensuring proper storage of perishable foodstuffs and maintaining a first-in-first-out rotation system.
  5. Cleaning Supplies and Stationery: You will be responsible for storing and requisitioning cleaning chemicals, stationery items, and disposables, working closely with par stock levels to ensure that products are always available to customers.
  6. Sustainability and Waste Management: You will participate in the hotel's sustainability committee and manage waste disposal within the hotel.
  7. Back-yard Area and Grounds Maintenance: You will take responsibility for organizing and maintaining the back-yard area and general hotel grounds, ensuring daily cleanliness.
  8. Purchasing Coordination: You will coordinate with various departments to purchase stock and prevent items from going out of stock.
  9. Purchasing Process Ownership: You will oversee the purchasing process from order processing to delivery inspection.
  10. Supplier Negotiation: You will source, select, and negotiate purchase packages with suppliers to ensure quality, price, terms, deliveries, and services.
  11. Delivery Monitoring: You will monitor and coordinate deliveries between suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in purchasing is highly advantageous.
  • Hotel experience is also highly advantageous.
