We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant. As a Store Assistant, you will be responsible for managing inventory, storing and requisitioning goods, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Inventory Management: You will be responsible for ordering, receiving, and stocking food and beverage items, working closely with par stock levels to ensure that products are always available to customers.
- Dry Goods Management: You will be responsible for storing and requisitioning dry goods items, working closely with par stock levels to ensure that products are always available to customers.
- Delivery Acceptance: You will be responsible for accepting all deliveries, inspecting them for damages, and ensuring adherence to HACCP regulations.
- Storage and Rotation: You will be responsible for ensuring proper storage of perishable foodstuffs and maintaining a first-in-first-out rotation system.
- Cleaning Supplies and Stationery: You will be responsible for storing and requisitioning cleaning chemicals, stationery items, and disposables, working closely with par stock levels to ensure that products are always available to customers.
- Sustainability and Waste Management: You will participate in the hotel's sustainability committee and manage waste disposal within the hotel.
- Back-yard Area and Grounds Maintenance: You will take responsibility for organizing and maintaining the back-yard area and general hotel grounds, ensuring daily cleanliness.
- Purchasing Coordination: You will coordinate with various departments to purchase stock and prevent items from going out of stock.
- Purchasing Process Ownership: You will oversee the purchasing process from order processing to delivery inspection.
- Supplier Negotiation: You will source, select, and negotiate purchase packages with suppliers to ensure quality, price, terms, deliveries, and services.
- Delivery Monitoring: You will monitor and coordinate deliveries between suppliers.
- Prior experience in purchasing is highly advantageous.
- Hotel experience is also highly advantageous.
