About the Role: As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will play a key role in exploring complex and important empirical questions at the interface of health innovation, bioethics, and patent law. This project aims to develop a deeper understanding of bioethical implications and how they are engaged with by decision-making systems in Europe.
The Project: PatentsInHumans is a 5-year European Research Council Starting Grant funded project led by Principal Investigator, Professor Aisling McMahon. The project seeks to bridge the disconnect between patent law and bioethics in contexts related to health technologies. You will work on the empirical strand of the project, conducting semi-structured interviews and focus groups with experts and stakeholders to gain insights into potential bioethical implications posed by patents over health technologies.
