Drive Laboratory Excellence in a Biopharmaceutical Setting

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within our laboratory operations, driving excellence and innovation. As an analytical scientist, you will oversee the qualification of equipment, generate and review documentation, and ensure compliance with SOPs and work instructions.

You will be responsible for reviewing and trending laboratory data, leading reporting efforts, and maintaining oversight of review metrics. Additionally, you will manage laboratory stock, order consumables as needed, and participate in functional meetings and cross-functional team leadership.

As part of this role, you will also contribute to internal and external audit and inspection activities, ensuring permanent inspection readiness. You will support and drive site safety culture, demonstrating respect and appreciation for diverse populations.

Responsibilities include performing GMP activities, troubleshooting general lab operations, EM, facility testing as required, and executing in-process and drug substance analysis studies. You will lead/participate in laboratory projects, introducing novel solutions collaborating with the global Microbiology Center of Expertise.

Other key responsibilities include organizing testing schedules, adhering to deadlines, building team effectiveness skills, promoting team success through own actions, and supporting changing business needs.

Requirements:
  • A degree qualification in Biological Sciences/Engineering, preferably with background in microbiology. An Advanced Degree (MSc) qualification is desirable.
  • 3+ years experience working in a relevant industry field.
  • Technical Knowledge with Biologics drug substance manufacturing and microbiological testing techniques.
