About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide vital support to individuals who require assistance with daily living tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To travel to clients' residences and provide personalized care services as outlined in their individual care plans.
  • To maintain clients' independence by encouraging and motivating them to perform daily tasks.
  • To assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing and dressing.
  • To work collaboratively with family members, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • To prepare and cook meals for clients, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • To document client progress and report any concerns to supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Minimum QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support, Safeguarding Training, First Aid & CPR, Children's First (if applicable), Hand Hygiene & Infection Control.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a care setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Genuine passion for helping others, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, reliability, flexibility, and empathy.
