Agile Team Lead

A Full-time Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team in the delivery of complex change initiatives using a variety of Project Delivery Frameworks.
  • Ensure solutions align with present and future business objectives.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships.
  • Manage system development priorities and delivery schedule.

Specific Duties:

  • Understand and lead all aspects of team deliverables.
  • Facilitate team ceremonies during project initiation, planning, execution, and closure, ensuring compliance with company standards and Agile practices.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that the team applies best-of-breed software engineering practices, including Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment practices, unit and regression test automation, delivery of NFRs, adherence to standards.
  • Represent the team through all areas of communication with key stakeholders, including verbal, written reports, presentations, steering committees etc. Deliver projects on time, on budget to the expected quality.
  • Work with business partners and team to translate business strategy or roadmap into product backlog items.
  • Agree priorities with key Business leaders.
  • Lead delivery focusing on the highest priority business deliverables first.
  • Manage project RACI log and the project budget.
  • Conduct project 'Lessons Learned' and create recommendations that will improve future project delivery.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years I.T. industry experience with at least 3 years operating as an Agile Team Lead on high-profile and innovative technical enterprise solutions.
  • Experience of managing multiple parties, including Senior I.S. staff, and 3rd party Vendors.
  • Experience in communicating and influencing at all levels within an organisation.
  • Experience in planning and organising resources and tasks.
  • Experience developing and communicating milestones plans to key Stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of System Architectures, Software Engineering, and DevOps / Agile practices.
  • Strong competence in Strategic Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Problem Solving, Working on own initiative.
  • Excellent knowledge of formal project management methodologies and processes.
  • Practical experience of the application development life cycle (Waterfall & Agile).
  • Proficient user of MS Office tools, in particular MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • Proficient user of Atlassian tools including Confluence and Jira.
