Lead Ophthalmic Nurse Manager

Our clinic is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our Ophthalmology department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for surgical excellence and team leadership, with at least 5 years of post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the activities of ophthalmic services from initial consultation to pre-assessment and discharge, liaising with consultants, nursing staff, and healthcare professionals.
- Liaise with theatre CNMs in relation to theatre ophthalmology service.
- Manage staffing levels, foster staff development, and promote practice development initiatives to enhance skills and capabilities of the nursing team.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols, policies, and best practices in patient care.
Requirements:
- Registration in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI.
- Recognised Post Graduate Nursing Qualification in Ophthalmology (Desirable).
- Evidence of experience in the care of ophthalmology patients.
- Clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to discharge functions of the role.
