Job Description

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality products to consumers worldwide.

Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this standalone position is responsible for defining and establishing rules and best practices for production, adhering to guidelines from central teams and external organizations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing for and participating in internal and external audits (e.g. ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, FSMA, Ferrero Food Safety and Quality Audits)
  • Collaborating with other departments on audit activities (e.g. SMETA)
  • Planning, executing, and monitoring internal audits; training auditors
  • Performing cross-audits in other Ferrero plants (1-2 per year)
  • Monitoring Quality KPIs (consumer complaints, non-conformities, glass & hard plastic checks) and collaborating on corrective actions
  • Managing CAPA updates and follow-up actions
  • Updating HACCP plans using risk analysis, managing the food safety team
  • Coordinating Environmental Monitoring Plans and collaborating on their implementation
  • Maintaining traceability systems and conducting simulation exercises
  • Coordinating Patrol Walks
  • Conducting training sessions on Food Safety, GMP, PRPs
  • Establishing rules based on Ferrero guidelines, external standards, and legislation
  • Drafting manuals and procedures; managing plant quality documentation
  • Supervising external contractors (pest control, cleaning, calibration)
  • Handling purchasing related to food safety activities
  • Managing food safety projects
  • Ensuring coverage of all roles through substitution when needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
