Food Safety and Quality Professional

Job Description:

The role of a Food Safety and Quality Professional is crucial in ensuring the quality and safety of food products. This position involves conducting internal and external audits, monitoring and reporting on quality key performance indicators, and updating Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, FSMA, and other relevant standards.
  • Monitoring and reporting on quality key performance indicators, consumer complaints, and non-conformities.
  • Updating HACCP plans and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Coordinating environmental monitoring, traceability exercises, and patrol walks to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Delivering training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, and production standards to maintain a high level of expertise within the team.
  • Maintaining plant quality documentation and managing external contractors to ensure seamless operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • At least five years' experience in a food safety or quality role.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Team player with initiative, motivation, and a commitment to quality.
