Job Summary

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment to classify, register, search, and identify fingerprints in the Automated Fingerprint/Biometric Identification System (AFIS/ABIS).

Responsibilities
  • Perform fingerprint classification, registration, searching, and identification duties.
  • Assist other city and county agencies with fingerprint and identification work.
  • Work independently under general supervision of an Identification Supervisor.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Experience in fingerprint examination or a related field.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and certification in fingerprint examination are highly desirable.
