Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fingerprint Examiner to join our team. As a Senior Fingerprint Examiner, you will be responsible for classifying and processing fingerprints, as well as conducting searches and identifications in the Automated Fingerprint/Biometric Identification System (AFIS/ABIS).

You will work independently under general supervision of an Identification Supervisor in the Central Identification Bureau, performing duties such as registering, searching, and identification of fingerprints. Additionally, you may assist other city and county agencies with fingerprint and identification work.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in fingerprint examination, including 18 months of processing with minimal guidance.
  • Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
