Job Title: Strategic Rail Project Manager

ATG is seeking an experienced Associate Director - Project Manager to join a dynamic consultancy team in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the successful delivery of rail infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and relevant regulations.
  2. Develop and implement project management strategies, including budget planning, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
  3. Manage project teams, comprising engineers, planners, and external consultants, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  4. Engage with key stakeholders, including government agencies, transport authorities, contractors, and local communities, facilitating effective communication and stakeholder management.
  5. Oversee project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  6. Support business development activities, including bid preparation, client presentations, and identifying new opportunities for growth.
  7. Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior staff, enhancing their skills and expertise.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • A degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is required.
  • Chartered status with a recognized professional body is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in project management, with a strong track record in delivering rail or transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of Irish rail infrastructure regulations, standards, and procurement processes is essential.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and working within a consultancy environment is preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in contract management and negotiation, is essential.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are required.
