Data Science Leadership Role

At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Manager to lead and coach our team of data scientists. This key member will drive strategic data science initiatives from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

This role requires substantial hands-on experience with Databricks and a proven track record in team leadership and talent development. We are looking for a self-starter who can communicate with both business and technical audiences, inspire and be inspired, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big while paying careful attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, and strong experience designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and generative AI solutions in production cloud computing environments.

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of data scientists, ensuring they adhere to best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development, guiding team members to develop their talent.
  • Drive strategic data science initiatives from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, data analysts, AI architects, AI ops engineers, data governance, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects.
  • Oversee the evaluation, selection, and application of machine learning and generative AI techniques/frameworks, ensuring best practices and optimal outcomes.
