Job Title: Transportation Coordinator

Job Overview

The primary objective of this role is to provide safe and efficient transportation services to participants on a daily basis. This will involve driving vehicles, conducting routine maintenance tasks, and accompanying participants on social events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport individuals with disabilities in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain vehicles in a roadworthy condition, ensuring they are serviced regularly and meet all necessary safety standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff and volunteers on transport safety protocols.
  • Administer administrative duties and record-keeping tasks, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Accompany participants on social events and outings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Person SpecificationTraining and Experience:
  • A valid Full category D/D1 driving license is essential for this position. Candidates without the required licensure need not apply.
  • Prior experience working with people with disabilities is highly desirable, but not a requirement.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, particularly those related to transport safety.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for building relationships with colleagues and participants.
