Audit Services - Asset Servicing and International
Role:
The Senior Auditor is responsible for conducting audits to ensure the effective operation of internal controls and risk management systems within Northern Trust Corporation.
This role involves evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of controls, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities, and developing recommendations for improvement.
The Senior Auditor also provides technical expertise during audits and collaborates with business units to discuss audit results and implement corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
- Analyze information to determine potential control weaknesses and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with business units to discuss audit results and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical expertise during audits and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
- Stay current on regulatory rules and industry changes.
- Manage special projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills to conduct audits efficiently.
- Develop and maintain strong workpaper documentation skills.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with business units.
- Demonstrated technical abilities in select areas such as regulatory compliance, data analytics, and/or prior use of Internal Auditing tools and applications are preferred.
