Our team is seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to fill the role of Care Assistant. This part-time position offers 15 hours of work per week, with opportunities for relief and additional hours to expand your roster.

The successful candidate will be responsible for enabling our Members to achieve maximum independence in daily living by providing assistance in various areas such as personal care, domestic assistance, social, and educational support, as well as travel and companionship.

Liaison

The candidate will foster and develop key relationships with other Home carers, ALS Coordinators, and Scheduling staff to ensure seamless implementation of this role.

Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 5 modules completed of the Major Award at QQI Level 5 in Community & Health Services, Health Service Skills, or Healthcare Support, or relevant qualification with a commitment to complete the major award.
  • Experience working in a caring role, emphasizing reliability, trustworthiness, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills, including spoken and written English.
  • Possession of a car (preferable).

  • Strong customer service focus and high level of confidentiality.

What We Offer

We provide a competitive hourly rate of €15.39 - €17.12, depending on experience. Enhanced pay rates apply for before 8 am, after 8 pm, Sundays, and public holidays. Additional benefits include paid inter-client mileage, sick pay scheme, maternity and paternity pay scheme, holiday pay, PRSA Pension scheme, Bike to Work Scheme, Employee Assistance Service, and a commitment to ongoing training and development.
