
Automated Manufacturing Specialist

The Equipment Maintenance Technician role is responsible for the set-up, installation, maintenance and support of automated equipment to ensure optimal performance and meet operational objectives.
This position collaborates with teams to resolve manufacturing issues and constraints while implementing safe and efficient solutions to improve overall productivity through improvement projects around run rate increase, cycle time gains, yields and quality.
Main Responsibilities:- Identify and troubleshoot electro/mechanical equipment failures.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
- Document significant downtime issues and resolutions in relevant databases.
The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the setup, operation, and maintenance of specific equipment sets used in manufacturing processes. They will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities and a capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
Requirements:- Familiarity with PLCs, motor drives, pneumatic and hydraulic components is advantageous.
- Typical Experience 2 - 4 years+ experience as a Technician in a high volume automated environment.
- Minimum Certification/Diploma/Senior Trades in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of automation systems, including control panels, sensors and actuators.
Problem-Solving Abilities:
Critical thinking and analytical skills to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions.
Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating complex ideas and collaborating on problem-solving efforts.
