Person Specification

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Person in Charge, responsible for overseeing all aspects of a Designated Centre.

  • Ensure compliance with The Health Act (2007) and associated Regulations.
  • Effectively manage allocated resources and deploy them accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain robust management systems ensuring service safety, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate and implement Stewart Care policies and procedures within designated areas of responsibility.
  • Educate staff and students on S.I.367 standards and regulations, promoting a culture of compliance.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • NMBI registration or a Social Care (Honours) Degree is desirable.
  • Candidates must meet the Health Act (2007) Regulations (2013) criteria for Person in Charge roles.
  • A strong working knowledge of HIQA Standards, Health Act (2007), and associated Regulations and Guidance, as well as national policies in the disability sector, is essential.
  • Previous experience in the disability sector would be advantageous.
  • A management qualification would be beneficial.
  • Experience managing a service, staff, or home would be advantageous.
  • Excellent computer literacy and IT skills are required.
  • Superior report writing abilities are necessary.
  • An up-to-date, valid Irish Driving Licence is mandatory.
