Maintenance Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team at Tara Winthrop Private Clinic in Swords, Co. Dublin.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervising and working as part of a Maintenance Team and keeping Home updated in daily maintenance, repairs, and installations.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance work on home facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed tasks.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects guided by senior management.
  • Troubleshoot equipment faults and breakages to determine cause and initiate effective repairs.
  • Ensure timely completion and ongoing review of planned equipment maintenance routines.
  • Document all executed maintenance activities.
  • Support nursing and healthcare personnel in homes on continuous improvements initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and oral, teamwork abilities, and initiative.
  • Necessary to contact subcontractors where needed.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work schedule.
  • Able to perform troubleshooting tests on electrical equipment.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team & on own with minimal supervision.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work in a team and/or on own initiative.
  • Strong technical capability with attention to detail.
  • Ability to drive/own transport required.
