As a dedicated professional in the care sector, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with complex needs.

You will be responsible for engaging in daily activities and routines of the service, including direct support to service users, administrative work, and daily household tasks required of the role.

Working as part of a collaborative and innovative team, you will provide services to individuals in line with HIQA regulations and standards.

Essential Requirements:
  • A relevant QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar environment supporting adults or children with intellectual and physical disabilities
  • Knowledge of adults/children with complex needs
  • A full manual driver's license and eligibility to drive in Ireland
  • Eligibility to live and work in Ireland
Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing direct support and assistance to service users as assigned by the Manager and as indicated in the person's integrated Care Plan
  • Recognizing each individual as unique, prioritizing their needs and comforts
  • Acting as an advocate for the individual and family, providing appropriate information and support
  • Developing social interactions for individuals, both individually and in group settings
  • Being aware of the uses, safety precautions, and handling of equipment
  • Participating in all communication processes, including team meetings, staff forums, and emails
  • Providing personal care to individuals when required
  • Maintaining confidentiality of the organisation and the individuals at all times
  • Being flexible and willing to work shifts as part of the rolling roster to meet service needs
