Job Summary

Operational Risk Manager Role Overview

As an experienced Operational Risk Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and advisory support to drive the effectiveness of operational, technology, and outsourcing risk management practices across the EU.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent assurance reviews and deep dives into critical operational and technology areas, identifying actionable recommendations and insights to enhance risk management.
  • Develop and maintain our Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF), policies, standards, and associated ICT, Security, and Third-Party Risk Management policies and risk appetite metrics.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for operational risk, ICT, and security risk, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of effective risk management strategies, leveraging your expertise in digital banking technology and risk management practices.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years' experience in operational risk, technology risk, or related roles within financial services, ideally within a digital or challenger bank environment.
  • Deep knowledge of risk management practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards related to operational, ICT, and outsourcing risk.
  • Strong understanding of digital banking technology, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, fintech integrations, and data management.
  • Experience evaluating and challenging risk and control environments, particularly in high-growth or fast-changing environments.
