Contract Lead

The Contract Lead is responsible for managing and controlling all defects within a project. This role involves leading daily defect calls with the Development, Test and Operational Teams, providing clear minutes and actions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To own and chair daily defect calls to ensure effective communication among teams.
  • To manage and control defects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Liaise with the Problem Management Team to promote efficient interaction within overlapping processes.
  • Maintain the integrity of the defect database and ensure a full audit trail for any changes made outside of the published defect process.
  • Represent the regional position on defect status to both regional users and international staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels.
  • The ability to chair and steer critical development meetings.
  • A good working knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate experience of working in high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to manage standard processes and resolve ad-hoc issues.
  • An excellent self-starter with proactive approach.
  • An analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to forge strong relationships with internal customers.
  • Ability to explain technical processes and articulate knowledge of Defect Management process.
  • Good practical knowledge of Jira.
