Job Description:

The Senior Buyer/Planner will be responsible for planning the procurement of materials required to support customer demand. This involves ensuring inventory levels are optimized to meet business needs, developing and executing the Business Unit's production schedule, and aligning supply with forecasted demand and sales objectives.

This position will collaborate closely with Production, Sales, and Operations to drive efficiency, minimize shortage, and support on-time delivery performance. The successful candidate will have experience in demand planning, supply planning, or similar roles in operations, as well as proficiency with forecasting tools, ERP Oracle, and Power BI.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Perform Forecasting module maintenance including regular review of forecasting parameters and forecast accuracy.
  • Maintain a comprehensive purchasing system and support tactical purchasing requirements.
  • Plan and manage the procurement of materials and components to support both forecast and customer demand, while optimizing inventory levels.
  • Analyze and report on Daily and Monthly KPIs, including OTD, Past Due Backlog, Inventory Turns.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Supply Chain qualification or relevant experience, as well as 5 years experience in demand planning, supply planning or similar role in operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and cross-collaboration skills are essential. Knowledge of inventory management and vendor compliance best practices is also desirable.
