An Accounts Receivable Specialist position has become available at Glanbia Business Services, based in Dungarvan, County Waterford. This 12-month fixed-term contract will involve working on a hybrid basis with the Credit Controller.
This role is part of a busy and dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life's journey.
About the Role- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key overdue accounts and interacting with internal commercial teams to ensure prompt payment of debtor accounts.
- They will serve as a key point of contact between the Shared Service Centre and Business Units to resolve account queries and optimize collection processes.
- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and attention to detail, with a proven track record in an accounts receivable or credit control environment.
- Manage and interact with internal commercial teams to resolve key overdue accounts.
- Serve as a key point of contact between the Shared Service Centre and Business Units to ensure prompt payment of debtor accounts.
- Communicate with Business Units on account queries from debtors and internal departments.
- Monitor aged debtors and coordinate with Business Units to take proactive steps to optimize collection.
- Report on KPIs to commercial and finance teams.
- Coordinate month-end processes.
- Perform credit-checking activities when new customers are created and when existing customer credit limits are due for review.
- Adhere to department and company policies and procedures, meeting defined goals and activity metrics such as DSO and cash collections targets.
- Assist the Credit Controller with supporting team needs.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounts receivable or credit control role, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Knowledge of billing and collections processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with fluent English language proficiency.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle large data reports with excellent accuracy.
- Strong Excel analytical skills and critical thinking/problem-solving abilities.
- Prior knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) is desirable.
This opportunity will be based in our offices in Dungarvan, County Waterford, with a hybrid working model in place.
