Job Overview

This leadership position oversees the growth and development of a talented team dedicated to shaping the future of renewable energy infrastructure.

You will lead and manage a dynamic team, focusing on project delivery, resource management, work winning, and people management. This exciting opportunity contributes to the success of our renewable energy practice by fostering a culture of engagement and development within the team.

The successful candidate will bring deep understanding of the UK&I renewables energy market, coupled with people and strategic thinking skills to drive success across their business area.

This role involves:

  • Leading and growing a high-performing team for the UK&I region.
  • Driving project delivery excellence, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and with high-quality results.
  • Collaborating with project managers and technical experts to allocate resources effectively and optimise project performance.
  • Developing and implementing a growth plan aligned to the Strategic Plan.
  • Identifying and engaging key stakeholders for client projects, establishing effective engagement strategies.
  • Championing a proactive approach to work winning by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and participating in proposal development.
  • Fostering a culture where AECOM is recognised as a great place to work, promoting staff engagement and retention.
  • Developing succession plans for key positions within the renewables Practice.
  • Monitoring and managing the financial performance of the renewables practice against key metrics.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver multi-disciplinary projects and programs, showcasing excellence in work winning.
  • Overseeing project management from pre-positioning and proposal development to completion.
  • Driving change programs to increase efficiency, profitability, and operational quality within the team.
  • Securing new business opportunities while ensuring client satisfaction with AECOM's performance.
  • Championing equity, diversity, and inclusion, fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace.
