Reliability Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of manufacturing equipment, in line with safety, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support engineering teams in pharma operations to ensure equipment maintenance is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Participate in design and process project conversations to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure reliability by design.
- Owning and preparing preventative and predictive maintenance procedures for new equipment installations, including documentation and approval on Maximo.
- Completion and documentation of PMs and pDMs on manufacturing equipment into Maximo.
- Ensuring commissioning spare parts are received and cataloged in Maximo, as well as identifying critical spare parts and managing their receipt and cataloging.
- Active participation in Factory Acceptance testing, Site Acceptance Testing, and commissioning and qualification of equipment.
- Review and approve process-related commissioning, qualification, and validation protocols for completeness and accuracy.
- Executing protocols in a timely manner to meet project schedule requirements.
- Review and approve process flow diagrams (PFDs), specifications, layouts, and P&IDs.
- Ensuring proactive high-performance day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance activity to maintain manufacturing and utility equipment.
- Collaborating with operations, quality, and technical operations teams to ensure equipment and process performance is maximized.
- Maintaining records and documentation on relevant engineering procedures and preventative/demand maintenance.
- Liaising with internal/external engineering personnel and contract maintenance providers to troubleshoot and install/commission equipment.
- Completion of instrument calibration as per schedule.
- Taking ownership of the site's Predictive Maintenance program, through managing and developing outsourced condition monitoring contracts, implementing recommendations, and tracking to closure.
- Implementation of equipment/process upgrades in an environment of continuous improvement.
- Supporting the Production Team in ensuring manufacturing equipment is maintained to meet output and yield requirements.
- Adhering to all relevant policies relating to Quality & Safety.
- Ensuring successful external inspections, Division, and Corporate audits.
- Supervising external contractors.
Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification or engineering qualification to Cert level at a minimum (Diploma/Degree preferred).
- Technical/business knowledge minimum of 3 years in a highly regulated manufacturing (Pharma/Biologics/Medical Device) environment required.
- Proven problem-solving ability on complex equipment.
