Job Description

The Financial Controller is a key position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial management and oversight of our financial operations and processes. This role involves maintaining and developing financial systems and procedures, creating company-wide financial models and reports, and managing the accounting staff. The Financial Controller will work closely with external auditors to coordinate audit activities.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting, cash flow, budgeting and financial management of the company.
  • Prepare By-Monthly Group Consolidated Management Accounts with full analysis and commentary on performance.
  • Develop and maintain effective accounting systems and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls.
  • Group Budgeting and Cashflow Forecasting.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the annual audit.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement effective financial controls.
  • Provide training, direction, and support to accounting staff.
  • Manage banking activities, including approving/initiating wire transfers and reconciliations.
  • Maintain documentation of all financial transactions.
  • Coordinate and monitor the financial activities of subsidiaries.
  • Monitor and report on group cash flow.
  • Develop strategies for risk minimization and asset protection.
  • Manage outsourced functions e.g. payroll.
  • Taxation compliance and CRO filings.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally having previous experience working in a Group Management Accounting function.
  • ACCA/ACA Qualified is preferred, open to Part-Qualified Accounts with relevant experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel.
  • Polished communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team.
  • Ability to work on-site in our office.
