As a SAP FICO Implementation Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing and implementing SAP solutions, leading functional teams, and ensuring seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing business requirements through conducting information-gathering sessions with clients, analyzing the information, and documenting an accurate understanding of their business requirements and mapping those to SAP business processes.
  • Providing estimates, impact analysis, and feasibility assessments for SAP-based solutions for customer requirements, making recommendations for the selection of appropriate SAP business processes to meet client requirements effectively.
  • Developing process models based on business requirements to determine the completeness of the information and process components, designing SAP-enabled solutions and functional specifications.
  • Functionality testing: knowledge of and ability to use testing methodologies, processes, and tools for testing of functionality, including unit, integration, system, regression, and dry run testing.
  • Designing and developing test plans for executing unit, integration, system, or acceptance testing to ensure the solution meets the business requirements.
  • Coordinating execution of project tasks in your functional area and working under the pressure of tight project deadlines.
  • Working closely with the Organizational Change Management (OCM) team and supporting the preparation and execution of training of SAP users.
  • Planning and carrying out cut-over activities and go-live support.
  • Leading functional teams.
  • Leading workshops to understand business processes and articulating best/standard practice.
  • Supporting users after go-live of the system in a hypercar environment.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise in SAP implementation methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Your Profile

To be successful as a Financial Accounting and Controlling Expert, you will have:

  • In-depth knowledge of finance principles and business processes, coupled with the ability to map business requirements to SAP FICO functionalities.
  • Ensuring the correct adaptation and optimization of financial and cost control processes.
  • Providing support and technical consultancy for the accounting, treasury, cost control, and financial planning areas, aligning solutions with best market practices.
  • Diagnosing financial processes and identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Configuring SAP FICO to respond to changes in regulatory and commercial requirements, ensuring compliance with corporate and legal policies.
  • Experience in leading functional teams and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of FICO processes, including AR (Accounts Receivable), AP (Accounts Payable), GL (General Ledger), AA (Asset Accounting), BA (Bank Accounting), integration, and tax processes.
  • Previous experience in SAP Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM), SAP Treasury and Cash Management (TRM), and Financial Consolidation/Reporting is a plus.
  • Excellent configuration experience within SAP FICO modules.
  • In-depth finance integration knowledge with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP).
  • Strong background in solution design and implementation.
  • Experience of S/4HANA Finance preferred.
  • Very good communication skills, good problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ideal candidates will have at least 3 full lifecycle projects and 5 years of FICO experience.
  • Expert knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience with both waterfall and Agile implementation methodologies.
  • Experience working with offshore teams.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe as required by the role.
