Job Title:

Linux Infrastructure Specialist

A talented individual is sought to design and build infrastructure for trading platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with network engineers and software developers to create scalable systems.

About the Job:

This role involves optimizing Linux infrastructure, including trading systems, research compute, databases, and support systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for automating and evolving processes, optimizing system performance, and innovating and building complex infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to a library of home-grown tools written in Python and Bash to automate bare-metal and virtual server deployments, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Tune operating systems for performance and network stacks for bandwidth or latency.
  • Design and develop complex infrastructure solutions that meet the demands of high performance and scalability using cutting-edge hardware.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience building Linux-based platforms is also required.

Candidates should have familiarity with kernel-level and I/O subsystem tweaks and tools such as sysctl, strace, tcpdump, and netstat. Recent hands-on experience with automation in Python or other tools is also necessary.
