Project Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee the delivery of substation and grid connection projects across Munster. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to join the renewable energy sector at a time of rapid growth, leading projects that directly support Ireland's clean energy targets.

The successful candidate will play a hands-on leadership role, driving projects from conception through to commissioning and energisation. They will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, liaise with utility providers, and ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full project lifecycle of renewable energy infrastructure projects, from planning and permitting through to construction and handover
  • Develop project programmes, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships and clear communication channels
  • Provide technical expertise on high-voltage systems, offering guidance to engineering and site teams
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all stages of project delivery
  • Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and project updates to senior management and clients
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality benchmarks, and timelines
Requirements
  • Proven track record as a Project Manager in the delivery of high-voltage infrastructure projects
  • Hands-on experience with substation builds, grid connections, or transmission/distribution projects
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and processes (desirable)
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities
  • Relevant engineering or technical qualification (degree or equivalent experience preferred)
