We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Lead to provide technical leadership across various project-related activities. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of design, development, and validation of manufacturing technologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide engineering leadership for new equipment and process changes, ensuring all activities are completed and documented in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the introduction of new capital equipment and oversee qualification and validation activities - VP, IQ, OQ, PQ.
- Evaluate process layouts for supporting new process integration while ensuring optimal floor space utilisation and optimum process flow.
- Develop and implement appropriate supporting documentation, SOPs, PFMEA, Control Plans, and process work instructions compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Transfer and implement processes from development or another manufacturing facility.
- Owning budgetary, scheduling, and project databases, reporting regularly on progress and potential problems affecting cost or schedule.
- Developing specifications in the form of a URS for new equipment purchases.
- Capital acquisition activities.
- Providing technical guidance for maintenance technicians and other engineers.
- Conducting MSA studies for products and new processes.
- Leading projects as technical lead, including scoping, approval, budgeting, specification, execution, qualification, and operational handover.
- Maintaining Quality Management Systems requirements at all times.
- Out-of-hours support to the business as required by management or during shutdowns and/or equipment failures.
- A Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- Proven Project Engineering skills through delivering business-critical projects.
- 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lead, influence, and provide technical direction to Engineers, Coop Students, Technicians, and operators.
- Working within a multi-disciplined team in an aggressive, dynamic, and results-driven environment.
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, a process improvement orientation, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Technological pioneer, willing to source, investigate, and implement technological and automation advances.
- Confident decision maker with leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.
