Product Sourcing Manager

This role contributes to the company's trading strategy by sourcing high-quality products, leading data analysis to maximize performance and drive sales, profitability, and market share growth.
- Support the trading strategy as determined by the category director through managing suppliers and products, providing a range of services based on analysis, development, implementation, and cost reduction of designated category management activities.
- Develop a product range with guidance from senior buying managers, focusing on planning and trading of seasonal buys while providing a great range that gives customers a reason to shop with the company across all store formats.
- Improve business performance by helping sales and marketing in the development of a product range, pricing, promotion actions, and associated programs designed to streamline and optimize results in both the suppliers' and the company's perspective.
- Build and be accountable for sales and margin budgets for the designated category, understanding how to deliver the designated 'buy for less' target as part of the trading strategy.
- Develop a strong buy/sell plan with suppliers while managing the value for money index and optimizing the key supplier base to achieve competitive advantage for the company and support delivery of the customer plan.
- Identify opportunities to improve all-in margin and contribute to negotiations with suppliers to deliver expected targets and in line with savings.
- Develop strong working relationships with the UK buying teams and work with technical teams to develop own-label products (if relevant) for the designated range.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within and outside the function and develop and maintain positive relationships across the company in Ireland.
- Adhere to company policies and guidance, including storage protocols, and successfully complete commercial income and grocery regulations training to ensure zero grocery regulation breaches.
