Sustainable Ecology Expert

This role involves managing contracts, providing specialist ecological advice, planning and conducting site surveys, preparing Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), conducting Appropriate Assessments, and writing technical reports.
The Ecological Consultant will deliver high-quality consultancy services to clients across various sectors, including renewable energy projects, residential and commercial developments, infrastructure, and electrical projects.
- Managing contracts to deliver quality ecological consultancy services
- Providing specialist ecological advice across various projects
- Planning, conducting, and overseeing site ecological surveys and fieldwork
- Preparing and supervising the implementation of CEMPs
- Conducting Appropriate Assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), Biodiversity Chapters for EIARs, and other environmental reports
- Writing detailed technical reports and project deliverables
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality ecological consultancy services to clients
- Providing expert ecological advice and support
- Overseeing site ecological surveys and fieldwork
- Preparing and implementing CEMPs
- Conducting environmental assessments and writing reports
To be successful in this role, candidates should have a degree in ecology or a related discipline and at least seven years of post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy.

- Comprehensive knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation
- Strong technical report writing skills
