Job Title: Pharmacy Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Support Professional to join our team in Cork. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.

Main duties include:

  • Operate the dispensary with precision and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with all legal responsibilities pertaining to pharmacy practice.
  • Adhere to laws, ethics, and codes of practice as laid down by regulatory bodies.
  • Deliver a safe and efficient dispensing service to customers, adhering to pharmacy guidelines.
  • Ensure the safe and effective delivery of medicines to customers, prioritizing patient care and satisfaction.
  • Interact effectively with other healthcare professionals, fostering strong relationships and collaborative working practices.
  • Manage monthly submissions to payment boards, maintaining accurate records and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • Proactively address rejected claims, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local doctors and health professionals, promoting business growth and development.
  • Identify new business opportunities, proactively approaching nursing homes and relevant institutions to expand our customer base.

Key skills and qualifications required:

  • Hold a PSI-approved Pharmacy Qualification and be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in high-volume dispensing, with a proven track record of efficiency and accuracy.
