Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Road Design Engineer to join our Highways and Transportation business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and designing road, rail, public transport, and active travel projects throughout Ireland. Your expertise will involve input to statutory processes, procurement processes, preparation of contract documents, contract administration, and construction supervision.

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a consultancy environment, educated to degree level in engineering, and working towards Chartered Engineer status. You should also be computer literate and have experience with design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads. Additionally, knowledge of relevant design standards and ability to translate this knowledge into practical designs is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and design road, rail, public transport, and active travel projects throughout Ireland
* Input to statutory processes (EIAR, CPO etc)
* Procurement processes
* Preparation of contract documents
* Contract administration
* Construction supervision

Requirements:
* Relevant experience in a consultancy environment
* Educated to degree level in engineering (Level 8/9)
* Working towards Chartered Engineer status
* Computer literate with experience of relevant design software
* Knowledge of relevant design standards
