Procurement Excellence is Key to Business Success

In today's fast-paced business environment, procurement plays a vital role in driving company performance. As a seasoned Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for designing and implementing procurement strategies that support the full procurement cycle, from planning and tendering to contract management and supplier performance improvement.
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing comprehensive procurement plans that align with business objectives
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Leading meetings with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success
  • Overseeing the delivery of projects, managing risks and issues, and ensuring projects stay on track with timelines and budgets
  • Leading project teams, providing coaching and knowledge sharing to junior team members to help them grow professionally
  • Contributing to business development by identifying opportunities, supporting proposal writing, and helping to grow our public sector supply chain consulting practice

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree (or professional qualification) in business, supply chain, strategy, technology, or a related area
  • Significant experience in public sector procurement under EU regulations, ideally from a consulting background
  • Understanding of category management and experience developing sourcing strategies and applying them in practice
  • Ability to spot business opportunities, contribute to proposal development, and support successful bid outcomes
  • Strategic mindset and practical experience in project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and managing organizational change
  • Understanding of the key challenges facing Irish public sector organizations and familiarity with the strategies being used to address them
