Job Opportunity: Senior Occupational Therapist

Location: Mullingar, Co. Westmeath

Contract Duration: 1 year contract

Working Hours: 28 hours per week (4 days a week)

About the Role:

  • You will work autonomously and collaboratively with team members providing services at clinical bases and within clients homes, as well as a range of other settings as appropriate.
  • You will be responsible for managing the Occupational Therapy Service across the CAMHS services, using evidence-based and patient-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which provide patients with the confidence, skills, and coping strategies required for independent living.
  • The OT will carry a complex caseload and will complete occupational therapy-specific assessment & interventions.
  • As part of the MDT, the OT will complete some generic mental health work, such as initial intake assessments, and will hold a key working role.
  • The OT will be responsible for supervising a staff-grade Occupational Therapist.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Hold full CORU registration.
  • Have three years of full-time post-qualification clinical experience.
  • At least two years of experience working within Mental Health, preferably with CAMHS.
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage and develop self and others in a busy working environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and collaborate well with others.
