Electrical Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Limerick, Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical repair and maintenance, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job Description:

  • Work with Site Maintenance Managers, Planners and API Maintenance Lead on the execution of site maintenance programs to ensure reliable and efficient plant operation.
  • Support the Reliability Engineer in executing Reliability Centered Maintenance initiatives.
  • Develop and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis Programs to reduce equipment breakdowns and support maintenance personnel in real-time Root Cause Analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Reliability Engineer & Planning to establish and utilize reliability & work planning metrics/KPI's for monitoring improvement and resource optimization.
  • Conduct daily start-up checks on machinery throughout the plant.
  • Ensure swift and safe resolution of breakdowns at all times.
  • Maintain efficient, safe, and hygienic servicing and maintenance practices across the site.
  • E nsure smooth factory operations.
  • Perform repairs, servicing, and maintenance of machinery.
  • Execute refrigeration, plumbing, and breakdown tasks safely and tidily.
  • Implement and follow preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Verify that records are completed accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Prior experience in refrigeration is an advantage but not essential.
  • Ensure staff adherence to the Company Health & Safety policy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent technical training program.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical/mechanical repair and maintenance; Or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved including third and fourth year apprentices.
  • Leaving Certificate, School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Familiarity with fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to take direction.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to challenge others professionally and constructively.
  • Knowledge and experience in food manufacturing environments an advantage, but not necessary.
