Transforming Transportation: A Transport Engineer Role

We are looking for a Transport Engineer to support the delivery of active travel and public transport projects. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer with a few years of industry experience who is looking to grow technical skills and contribute to the development of safer, greener transport infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design of walking, cycling, and public transport infrastructure projects under the guidance of a Senior Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Prepare drawings, design calculations, and technical reports to support planning and construction stages.
  • Support the development of feasibility studies, options assessments, and preliminary/detailed design packages.
  • Apply relevant design standards to all work.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams and collaborate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for statutory approvals and tender submissions.
  • Attend site visits, surveys, and team meetings as required.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in transport or civil infrastructure design.
  • Interest in sustainable transportation, active travel, and public realm design.
  • Familiarity with relevant design standards (training will be provided as needed).
  • Proficiency in design and drafting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and report-writing skills.
