Fastnet is a leading player in the field of biotechnology research and we are currently seeking a highly skilled Biologics Research Specialist to join our team on a 12 month contract.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will be responsible for conducting independent research related to the stability and formulation of biologics, with a special emphasis on PEGylation of proteins. This will involve working under the direction of the Principal Investigator to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and draw conclusions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Experiments: Design and execute experiments related to the stability and formulation of biologics.
- Analyze Data: Analyze data from experiments and draw conclusions.
- Supervise Others: Supervise and provide on-site support for other members of the Formulation and Stability group.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, or chemical engineering and demonstrated experience in analysis of biologics (e.g., proteins, peptides, nucleotides). Previous experience with protein mass spectrometry (LC/MS) and interfacing with industrial research sponsors is also highly desirable. In addition, training and/or previous experience in project management and supervising others in a research lab is required.
