Job Title: Financial Operations ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of our finance department.The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing annual budgets, reviewing quarterly financial reports, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.A key requirement for this role is a strong understanding of financial controls and the ability to maintain accurate records.We require a professional accounting qualification, 3+ years' experience in a similar environment, and strong IT skills.This role involves managing bank accounts, reconciliations, budget variance reports, and reviewing junior staff work. Experience with SURF/Bright Books or similar accounting package would be advantageous.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial operations, including bank account management and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly budget variance reports and review junior staff work
  • Review and revise financial controls as required
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and meet strict deadlines
Requirements:
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar environment
  • Strong experience maintaining financial controls
  • Good understanding of financial requirements of state funders
  • Experience with SURF/Bright Books or similar accounting package an advantage
